The news of a sex scandal involving over two dozen boys and one girl at a Florida High School has been shocking the internet. Allegedly, the girl was filmed in a school bathroom performing intimate acts with the male students. Six of the young men were reportedly suspended. An investigation is underway that could lead to child pornography charges. Now the girl’s mother is coming out with her side of the story.

According to the mother, the girl had been at South Fort Myers High for only two weeks when the scandal began. The mother said her daughter was still suffering from the traumatic experience of becoming a sex trafficking victim at the age of 13. Apparently the girl, whose name has not been revealed, was abducted and held captive for two years.

As for the incident, the mother allegedly said that her daughter had a crush on a boy and went into the boys bathroom to talk to him. The boy wanted intercourse, and the girl agreed. Word got out about the incident, and soon a number of boys were meeting her at the bathroom for similar acts in what was described as “more of a spectator sport.”

Activists against human trafficking are hoping that the case will raise awareness for the domestic problem of girls being abducted and forced into a slave-like role. Meanwhile the girl’s mother has pulled her out of the high school and hopes to continue her healing process. She has said she was hoping people would stop sharing the video of her daughter on the internet to give her an opportunity to heal.
